Numerous valleys in Pakistan that can count for being one of the most beautiful places of the world.  We believe Pakistan is full of places that are soothing to the soul, with the lush forests to the roaring waterfalls and the magnificent mountains. Each has a unique sense of beauty that cannot be portrayed through any photograph yet still succeed in capturing more than just the interest of many.

Whenever I see interesting names, I jot them down. I’ve found them in lots of different places: on the news, in the phone book, even on hotel registry lists.

Neelam Valley:

This bow shaped valley located in Kashmir is one of the most famous and beautiful places in Pakistan. Neelum valley is a beautiful forested valley in Azad-Kashmir in Pakistan. it is located in northern areas of Pakistan about 350 KM from Capital city Islamabad. ,In winter there are heavy snowfall and most upper parts of valley remain  blocked.

While winter enhances the beauty of the valley, once it ends, a sense of tranquility and sereneness descends over  that makes a person want to visit the place over and over again. With the lush greenery, springs, lakes and sloped mountains, all add to the beauty of the valley, especially with the forests and the river Neelam, it is a “dream come true for many”.

Neelum is completely safe from terrorism and many people visit Neelam all over the year.

Knockemstiff’ is a collection of short stories set in the holler of the same name in southern Ohio where I grew up. I tried to link the stories together through the place and some recurring characters. – Author: Donald Ray Pollock
