Federal government has announced a public holiday on November 9, across the country to mark ‘Iqbal Day’. It is 145th birth anniversary of Dr. Allama Mohammad Iqbal. “The Prime Minister has been pleased to desire that November 9 (Iqbal Day) shall henceforth be observed as a Public Holiday,” an official notification read. This notification has issued on Tuesday afternoon. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) worker Ibtisam, who trapped the armed person on Thursday said that no one will be allowed to hurt former prime minister Imran Khan. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman, Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan has congratulated the HEC Taekwondo women team on winning two medals, including a silver and a bronze medal, in the Combaxx 4th Asian Open Taekwondo Women Championship. Sadaf Naeem, a journalist working for a private news channel, Sunday died after being crushed under PTI’s container while its long was headed toward Kamoke from GT Road Lahore. Women’s cricket team of Irelands arrived Pakistan on Sunday. This is the first ever visit of any Irish  cricket team to Pakistan. While, after successful tours by the men’s cricket teams of Australia, West Indies, and England earlier this year, Ireland is the fifth international team visiting Pakistan in 2022. There will be a series of three ODIs and three T20Is. Three ODIs are part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25. All the matches will be played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
