Asim Khan showcased his fighting spirit in a thrilling match against India’s Veer Chotrani. After two nail-biting sets, Asim emerged victorious in four games with scores of 11-9, 12-10, 6-11, 11-6. His resilience under pressure was key in sealing the win.
Ashab Irfan overcame a brief setback against the USA’s Dillon Huang to win 3-1, with game scores of 11-6, 7-11, 11-4, 11-3. Ashab’s powerful comeback secured his place in the quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, Noor Zaman delivered a dominant performance, defeating Australia’s eighth-seed Joseph White in straight sets (11-8, 11-5, 11-3), securing a spot in the top eight with ease.
The quarterfinals will see Asim face off against Mexico’s second-seed Cesar Salazar, Noor take on USA’s Spencer Lovejoy, and Ashab challenge Canada’s David Baillargeon.
