Rawalpindi Marathon: Over 4,000 Athletes Participate in 5KM Race

The Rawalpindi marathon was held on Sunday, beginning from Sports Complex Liaquat Bagh to Shehbaz Sharif Sports Complex, Shamsabad, through Murree Street. The 5KM race saw support from 4,000 competitors, counting senior citizens.

The marathon highlighted three categories: senior citizen, open, and under-16. A add up to of Rs378,000 in prizes was conveyed among beat entertainers, whereas all members gotten certificates. The champ of the open category completed the track in 15.5 minutes, whereas the under-16 winner wrapped up in 16 minutes.

Athletes assembled at Liaquatabad by 7:00 AM, with the race running from 9:00 to 10:30 AM. Extra Agent Commissioner Rawalpindi, Dr. Hassaan Tariq, introduced the occasion. A few authorities, counting Area Instruction Specialist CEO Amanullah Khan and Area Sports Officer Shams Tauheed Abbasi, were present.

The prize dissemination ceremony took put at Shehbaz Sharif Sports Complex, with Raja Muhammad Hanif Advocate as the chief visitor. He praised the champs and emphasized the significance of social and solid exercises in Punjab.

Top victors included Mohammad Qasim (Rs50,000), Mohammad Usman (Rs40,000), and Babar Ali (Rs30,000). Shields were moreover displayed to sports and instruction authorities. ADC Dr. Hassaan Tariq lauded the eagerness of Rawalpindi citizens and commended the sports division for great courses of action
