The Green Shirts wasted no time in asserting control, taking a commanding 23-2 lead in the first quarter. By halftime, their relentless attack had pushed the score to 45-3. In the third quarter, Pakistan stretched the gap even further to 70-4, eventually finishing with a dominant 91-6 win — the highest score of Pool B so far.

Standout players from the match included Leya Raza Shah, Alisha Naveed, Haleema, Sarina Hussain, Jasmine Farooq, Farah Rasheed, Amani, Parisa, Sumayya Ahmed, and Alina — all of whom were recognized for their remarkable performances.

This victory places Pakistan at the top of Pool B, keeping them unbeaten after earlier wins against Saudi Arabia (71-15) and Chinese Taipei (56-32). The team is now preparing for their next crucial matches — against Japan on Monday and the Maldives on Tuesday.

The Pakistan Netball Federation extended its heartfelt congratulations to the team and expressed special gratitude to head coach Amanda Newton via Instagram.

“Your exceptional coaching, technical expertise, and unwavering dedication have inspired our girls to shine,” read the Federation’s post. “Under your guidance, our team has shown incredible skill and determination, leading to continuous victories at the Asian Youth Netball Championship 2025 in Korea.”

The championship, hosted at Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium from June 27 to July 4, features 11 teams divided into two pools. Pakistan’s commanding performances have made them a top contender for the title.

As the tournament progresses, the Pakistani team’s blend of youthful energy, teamwork, and top-tier coaching continues to capture attention — not only for their scorelines but for their confident and composed play on the court. With knockout rounds approaching, expectations are high for Team Pakistan to bring home the championship.
