At the Asia Cup Super Four stage, Pakistan is expected to make significant changes to its playing XI for the highly anticipated match against India.
According to media sources, two players who were part of the team that lost to India in the group stage will not feature in today’s encounter. A 12-member shortlist has been prepared, but Khushdil Shah, who was brought in against the UAE in place of Faheem Ashraf, is unlikely to make the final cut.
Middle-order batter Hasan Nawaz and spinner Sufiyan Muqeem are also expected to miss out. Sources suggest that Pakistan plans to counter India’s batting lineup with pace rather than relying on spin this time.
Pakistan’s probable playing XI: Saim Ayub, Sahibzada Farhan, Fakhar Zaman, Faheem Ashraf, Salman Ali Agha, Mohammad Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Mohammad Haris (wk), Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Abrar Ahmed.
