The 10th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) has finalized its squads after the player draft ceremony held at the iconic Hazuri Bagh in Lahore Fort. All six franchises have strengthened their teams with a mix of international stars and local talent.
The first pick of the upcoming season was New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell, selected by Lahore Qalandars to bolster their batting lineup. Mitchell will make his PSL debut this year. Karachi Kings secured prominent signings, including New Zealand’s Kane Williamson and Australian opener David Warner.
Peshawar Zalmi exercised the right to match option for English cricketer Tom Kohler-Cadmore, who was initially picked by Quetta Gladiators. Gladiators then snatched New Zealand’s Mark Chapman, while Multan Sultans and Islamabad United also made key picks in the Platinum round.
Key picks in the Platinum 2 round included New Zealand pacer Adam Milne and fast bowler Abbas Afridi, both joining Karachi Kings. Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, and Lahore Qalandars brought in strong international talent such as South Africa’s Corbin Bosch, West Indies’ Jason Holder, and Sri Lanka’s Kusal Perera.
In subsequent rounds, franchises like Quetta Gladiators, Karachi Kings, and Islamabad United continued to build their teams, with notable additions such as Faheem Ashraf, Finn Allen, and Ben Dwarshuis.
