Arslan Ash Becomes Six-Time EVO Champion, Bringing Glory to Pakistan Once Again

Pakistani esports legend Arslan “Ash” Siddique has clinched his sixth Evolution Championship Series (EVO) title after winning the EVO 2025 Tekken 7 tournament in Las Vegas. The event, held from August 1 to 3 at the Las Vegas Convention Centre, saw Ash reaffirm his dominance in the global fighting game scene.

The Lahore-based icon once again made history by defeating fellow Pakistani star and former teammate Atif Butt in a thrilling final showdown. In a symbolic moment for Tekken fans, Ash used Nina Williams while Butt played as her in-game sister, Anna Williams. EVO’s official X account described the moment as “greatness on another level.”

This victory adds to Ash’s impressive career, with previous EVO titles won in both Japan and the United States. After finishing third in 2022, he came back stronger, winning EVO Japan in 2023 and securing his fifth title in 2024 before reaching this new milestone in 2025.

Following the win, Ash said, “I’m feeling so blessed,” and shared his gratitude for the continued support. “Six EVO titles. What started as a kid grinding in gaming arcades became something I never imagined. This is for Pakistan.”

His esports organization, Saudi Arabia’s Twisted Minds, celebrated the victory, calling him the “undisputed GOAT of Tekken” and declared this win as a step closer to the Tekken World Cup.

Atif Butt, the runner-up, also expressed his thoughts after a second consecutive second-place finish at EVO. “I’m still not able to get over the thought of how I ended up in second place again. Just like last year’s Evo final, runner-up once again,” he wrote, thanking fans for their continued support.

Japan’s Yuta “Chikurin” Take secured third place in the global tournament.

EVO continues to be the world’s premier fighting game tournament, uniting top players from around the globe. With Arslan Ash at the forefront, Pakistan has once again cemented its place as a powerhouse in competitive gaming.
