Cricket Australia has unveiled its home fixture list for the 2025 season, featuring an exciting lineup of matches, including eight white-ball encounters against India before the highly anticipated Ashes series against England.

India Tour and South Africa T20Is

Australia’s action-packed season will kick off with two T20 Internationals against South Africa in Darwin this August. Notably, this marks the first time in 17 years that international cricket will be played in every Australian state and territory within the same calendar year.

Following the South Africa series, Australia will host India for three One-Day Internationals, seeking redemption after their semi-final loss in the Champions Trophy earlier this month. The ODI series will be followed by five T20 matches against India, the reigning T20 world champions, who have emerged as Australia’s fiercest competitors across all formats.

Ashes 2025: Australia vs England

Australia’s quest to retain the Ashes will begin on November 21 in Perth, followed by Test matches in Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney. Pat Cummins and his squad will aim to extend their dominance over England in the historic Test series.

Women’s Multi-Format Australia Series Against India

The Australian women’s team will also face India in a multi-format series, highlighted by a historic day-night Test match in Perth in March 2026.

Cricket Australia’s CEO, Todd Greenberg, expressed optimism about the upcoming season, stating, “We smashed many records for attendance, viewing audiences, and digital engagement last summer. We’re confident that this incredible momentum will continue throughout what promises to be an engrossing season.”

Full Schedule Highlights

  • August: Two T20Is vs South Africa (Darwin)

  • September-October: Three ODIs vs India

  • October-November: Five T20Is vs India

  • November-January: The Ashes (England Tour of Australia)

  • March 2026: Australia Women vs India (Multi-Format Series)
