President Dr Arif Alvi has called for revisiting the national priorities to steer Pakistan out of its present socio-economic and political difficulties. A student from Sindh has become the first from the province to conquer Mount Everest, the worldâs highest mountain. Asad Ali Memon who studies in the Institute of Business Management (IoBM). He said he was the only person from Sindh to conquer the Everest having height of 8,849 metres. Earlier, Sajid Sadpara climbed the worldâs highest mountain without oxygenâs support. J-10C fighter aircraft have been inducted in the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Attock on Friday. Prime Minister Imran Khan attended the ceremony as chief guest. Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib in a press conference in Islamabad said that over a hundred thousand scholarships worth five billion rupees. He added that the scolership handered over under Kamyab Jawan Skills for All Program. He said “thirty-eight thousand scholarships were given in Punjab, twenty thousand in Sindh, ten thousand in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, six thousand in Balochistan, two thousand each in Islamabad and Gilgit Baltistan and thirteen thousand in Azad Kashmir”. The first Steering Committee of the project entitled, âKamyab Jawan Sports Academies (High-Performance Sports Academies and Resource Centres) National Youth Gamesâ was held at the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Secretariat. It was chaired by the Executive Director HEC Dr. Shaista Sohail. During the meeting, the Executive Director HEC briefed the participants on the projects planned under the umbrella of Kamyab Jawan programme.
