In previous Indian performances against Zimbabwe led to notable ranking improvements. Shubman Gill climbed 36 places to 37th, surpassing Rohit Sharma (42nd) and retired Virat Kohli (51st). In Test rankings, England players made significant gains following their victory over the West Indies. Harry Brook advanced to seventh, Zak Crawley to 13th, and Ollie Pope to 29th. Debutants Jamie Smith and Gus Atkinson also entered the rankings at 75th and 52nd, respectively.
