On Thursday, Naila Kiani achieved a momentous feat by becoming the first Pakistani woman to summit all 8,000-metre peaks in Pakistan, with her successful ascent of Broad Peak, standing at an impressive 8,047 metres as the 12th highest peak in the world.
Having now conquered a total of 14 8,000-metre peaks worldwide, Naila’s accomplishment is truly remarkable. She reached the summit of Broad Peak at 2:03 am on Thursday, as confirmed by Karrar Haidri, Secretary of the Alpine Club of Pakistan (ACP).
Among her remarkable achievements, Naila has scaled prominent peaks such as Mount Everest, K2, Lhotse, Annapurna, Gasherbrum 1 and 2, and Nanga Parbat.
In recognition of her extraordinary feat of successfully reaching the summit of Mount Everest in May, she was honored with the Sitara-e-Imtiaz, the third-highest civilian award in Pakistan.
