Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Aisam-ul-Haq described the event as a “dream come true” for Pakistan. He shared that the ATP Challenger tournament, featuring top international players, will carry a prize purse of $50,000.

“This is a huge step forward for our players, fans, and the entire sporting community,” Aisam said. “We are committed to providing world-class facilities and ensuring that Pakistan becomes a prominent destination for international tennis.”

Highlighting future plans, Aisam revealed that the PTF aims to organize a mega ITF tournament and a professional tennis league next year. He noted that Pakistan’s growing recognition as a global sports hub reflects the dedication of the federation and the passion of local athletes.

The PTF president also lauded the efforts of junior players Mikaeel Ali Baig and Shayan Afridi for their impressive performances in international competitions, calling their achievements a “testament to the growing talent pool in Pakistan.”

To support year-round training, Aisam announced that PTF is developing a covered court project at the PTF Tennis Complex, allowing players to train in all weather conditions.

Later, Aisam-ul-Haq, accompanied by players and PTF officials, visited Pakistan Sweet Home in Islamabad’s H-9 sector. They spent time with the children, sharing moments of joy, encouragement, and inspiration, reflecting PTF’s commitment not only to sports but also to social responsibility.
